Gardaí in south Dublin are this afternoon investigating a road traffic collision involving a truck and a cyclist.
The incident occurred at approximately 1.30pm at the White Church Road, Rathfarnham whereby the truck and cyclist collided.
The cyclist, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene where his body remains pending a Garda Forensic Examination.
The driver of the truck was unharmed in the accident.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in the area who may have information to contact Rathfarnham Garda Station on 01-666500, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
