A man who's body was discovered in Meath yesterday is understood to have known his life was in danger. The 24-year-old has been named locally as Kane McCormack.

The deceased is believed to have been related to a victim of the Kinahan- Hutch gangland feud.

A previous attempt on his life was foiled by Gardai. McCormack who is formerly from Clonee, survived an attempt on his life in September. That’s when the Gardai’s Emergency Response Unit intervened to save his life

His death is the latest to be linked to the Kinahan-Hutch feud. The victim was recently in court on ammunition charges. A close relative had been murdered by the Kinahans, and he is understood to have been seeking revenge.

Gardai are continuing their investigations.
