TV show The Osbournes has returned as a podcast!
The hit MTV show has returned as a new audio series. The Osbournes was first aired 16 years ago and Sharon, Jack and Kelly will take an in depth look at their time spent on the TV show.
The first episode of The Osbournes has been made available to listen to and it will run for 10 episodes.
In this episode, Sharon looks at why the TV show was so successful and how viewers became a part of their family. Jack and Kelly talk about how the fame the programme brought them affected their teenage years and in later life.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Jack Osbourne said that the podcast was the closest thing to reviving the television series, which ran from 2002 to 2005.
‘There’s been talk about bringing The Osbournes back, but it would never work. I thought, Well, this is probably the next best thing.’
For fans who loved the honest nature of family show Jack explained the podcast would not disappoint listeners to the podcast,
‘It’s really quite awkward to watch, especially now as a parent. Everyone is really open and honest about a lot of things. It’s pretty candid.’
Guest appearances on the podcast will include singer Carnie Wilson, comedian Sheryl Underwood, and The Osbournes executive producer Greg Johnston. The podcast will also feature favourites, like Big Dave the nanny and Melinda Varga.
After plans to reboot the show fell through in 2015
Back in 2015, after plans for a potential reboot fell through, Sharon said at the time if the show were to return, ‘we’d want to do it in a way that has never been done before’.
