Gardaí have issued a witness appeal following a hit and run collision in Wicklow on Saturday 14th April. A 17-year-old woman was struck by a car on Main Street in Kilcoole.
In the early hours of Saturday morning a car struck a young girl in Kilcoole and failed to remain at the scene. The road was closed as Gardai carried out forensic examintions and viewed CCTV footage of the area. The injured female was taken to Beaumont Hospital where her condition is described as critical.
The car involved is described as a light coloured saloon type (possibly silver) which travelled northbound through Kilcoole village at 3.45am from the direction of Newtownmountkennedy towards Greystones / Eden Gate.
