In support of their 13th studio album Resistance Is Futile, James Dean Bradfield and co played a hit filled set that showcased new material as well as a five tracks from their puck rock classic debut record Generation Terrorists. Videos of the gig including the Sex Pistols cover are available at the bottom of the page…

After a stunning start with ‘International Blue’, before the emotional ‘Motorcycle Emptiness’ as well as ‘No Surface All Feeling’, the band moved into newer territory with ‘Distant Colours’ and then joined on stage by The Anchoress for three duets with ‘Little Baby Nothing’, ‘Your Love Alone Is Not Enough’ and new track ‘Dylan & Caitlin’.

Other highlights came with an outing of rarity ‘4 Ever Delayed’ and a brutal rendition of ‘Masses Against The Classes’, before frontman James Dean Bradfield performed three tracks solo and acoustic with a break-neck but stripped back take on ‘Faster’ from ‘The Holy Bible’, a cover of ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ and early favourite ‘Stay Beautiful’.

Bassist Nicky Wire had gone for a costume change and returned onstage wearing a skirt and said to the crowd, ‘I have the best legs in rock n’ roll so I might as well use them’. Wire then completely blew the crowd away on lead vocals for a cover of Sex Pistols, ‘No Feelings’.
