A promo of the forthcoming new Chris Cornell single “When Bad Does Good” has been shared and is available below. The track will be released in full on September 21st. It is the lead single off of Cornell’s career retrospective four disc set Chris Cornell, set for release on November 16th.

It’s not known exactly “When Bad Does Good” was recorded. Cornell’s final extensive recording sessions on his own were for Higher Truth in 2015 with producer Brendan O’Brien.

There has not been an update on any possible unreleased material from those sessions just yet. Cornell was also working on a covers album with O’Brien at the time of his passing, and he had recorded “The Promise” as the final track released when he was alive.

Posters promoting Chris Cornell’s forthcoming self-titled career retrospective album Chris Cornell and new single “When Bad Does Good” have been posted in Los Angeles and New York. Fans have taken footage and pics of the posters located in Hollywood, Santa Monica and New York’s Soho neighbourhood.
