Rockstar Games’ latest massive release, Red Dead Redemption 2, comprises of some sonic gems in its soundtrack. Queens of the Stone Age lead singer Josh Homme has recorded new music for the popular game in the form of a track called “Cruel, Cruel World”.
The mellow acoustic ballad was penned by Daniel Lanois, who was the producer for the whole of the film’s soundtrack. Check it out below.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also sees music from Willie Nelson, and Rhiannon Giddens. According to CoS, a commercial release for the soundtrack is in the offing. The game’s score, composed by Woody Jackson, also has contributions from Arca, Colin Stetson, Queens of the Stone Age’s Jon Theodore, and more artists.
