Cornell sadly passed away in May 2017 from suicide. The Museum of Pop Culture in Cornell’s hometown of Seattle unveiled a life-sized bronze statue, and Cornell’s estate announced a new self-titled posthumous career retrospective album Chris Cornell is set to drop on Friday.

The concert will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel which is “presented by Cornell’s family and closest friends.” Each ticket purchased online for “I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell” will also include a copy of Chris Cornell. Proceeds from the benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
