Ireland’s first non-alcoholic beer bar is here!

With the festive season just behind us, many are looking for an alternative night out while not having to compromise on fun times while off the beers so the ‘Bar For When You’re Off The Beers’ aims to take the dry out of January with a host of free events from 18th until 20th January and will be located on South Anne Street in Dublin City Centre.

It’s all thanks to Pure Brew, Ireland’s only fully brewed, non-alcoholic lager from the brewers of GUINNESS.

Across the 3 days at ‘The Bar For When You’re Off The Beers’ you can expect non-alcoholic beertasting sessions with beer experts, a chill out zone in the basement with a cinema screen, a House DJ nightly, delicious complimentary beer snacks, ice-cold Pure Brew lager and also a range of small batch experimental non-alcoholic beers on tap.

There’s a full line-up planned for the pop-up bar with something to entertain everyone across the weekend.

FRIDAY (Fri 18th): Friend of Radio Nova, comedian Joanne McNally and special guests host ‘The Chats’, an interactive comedy experience discussing topics at random with audience participation encouraged.

SATURDAY (Sat 19th): Get your boogie on with DJ and comedian Marcus O’Laoire who hosts a night of music, beatboxing and dancing, culminating in a Sober Race ‘til late.

SUNDAY (Sun 20th): No weekend would be complete without aSunday session which commences at 12.30pm with Fearless Moves, a music-themed free fitness workout session which is led by fitness instructor Nathalie Lennon to the tunes of top DJ Conor Behan followed by mouth-watering healthy bites (advance booking required) and an ice cold Pure Brew. The evening is then topped off with an alternative Date Night event (without the Dutch courage!) for couples looking for love, hosted by Dublin drag queen legend Davina Devine, with gifts and spot prizes on the night and the evening coming to a smashing end with the ultimate date night disco.

Speaking about the ‘The Bar For When You’re Off The Beers’ Sarah Gilligan, Senior Brand Manager, Pure Brew said, Nowadays, many people give up alcohol for various personal reasons at different times of the years and, sometimes decide not to socialise as often in pub. We wanted to show people who love beer that they have an alternative. You can still head out, enjoy a fun night with friend and also have great tasting non-alcoholic beer. We can’t wait to see how people react to the ‘Bar For When You’re Off The Beers’ and, who knows, perhaps it might become a more permanent feature in the Irish pub landscape in the future.”

The Bar is open to the general public (over 18s only) from Friday 18th – Sunday 20th January. Admission is free, and drinks and snacks are complimentary but there are limited spaces available for both Friday and Sunday’s event and booking is required.
