HSE Confirms Outbreak Of Measles Across Co Donegal

A measles outbreak in Co Donegal is growing with the HSE now saying that there are seven cases of the disease confirmed. Further suspect cases are currently being investigated.

Children exposed to measles have been told to stayat home to prevent further spread of the virus.

Dr Anthony Breslin, Public Health Specialist explained, “Measles is a serious and very infectious illness. The current outbreak is having a significant impact on a large number of people. Measles can be prevented by the MMR vaccine.”
