The former doctor of Chris Cornell has refuted claims he overprescribed the Soundgarden frontman with anxiety pills.
The singer’s wife Vicky Cornell lodged a lawsuit against Dr Robert Koblin. Mrs Cornell accused Koblin of malpractice back in November 2018.
The NME reports that Dr Koblin prescribed a total of 940 doses of the anti-anxiety medication Lorazepam (Ativan). Mrs Cornell also asserts that the doctor prescribed Oxycodone for roughly the last two years of his life.
It’s alleged that no examination was carried out on the singer for the latter prescription. Cornell was discovered dead in his hotel room on May 17th, 2017 aged just 52.
A medical report revealed that a number of prescription drugs were in the singer’s system at the time of his passing.
