Drivers on the M50 had a lucky escape this morning after a freak hailstorm sent vehicles skidding off the road.
The motorway was closed for about an hour as paramedics and firefighters attended the scene at Junction 15, Carrickmines before 8am.

Gardaí said nobody was hurt in the incident.
