Knives, scalpels as well as a hammer have been discovered by gardai. The weapons were confiscated from young people just last week in the North of the city.
An Garda Siochana shared an image of the haul on social media. As a result the authorities have issued a warning to parents to keep their children safe.
They have also impressed on parents the importance of knowing what their children are up to. Gardai had this to say of the seizure:
“Knives are lethal weapons! These offensive weapons were seized from young people over the last week in North County Dublin. Parents keep your children safe, make sure know what they are up to. Please report any sightings of dangerous weapons to Gardaí.”
North Dublin has been challenged with the issue of teenage gangs recently.
