You’ll soon be able to send a discreet text to report anti-social behaviour on the DART. A new alert system is being rolled out from next month.
Since the start of last year, there’ve been 128 incidents of anti-social behaviour on the DART Irish Rail wants to make those kind of incidents easier to report.
From next month, a text alert system – similar to the one currently used on the Luas – will go live on DART and commuter services.
It’ll be a discrete way for passengers to let staff know about any problems on board like threats, harassment or violence.
Irish Rail hopes it’ll encourage people to report any incidents. The company say they’ll also be putting more staff on trains to crack down on anti-social behaviour.
