A man and a teenage girl remain in Garda custody in the midlands after being arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday.
It’s part of an investigation into a man’s disappearance five months ago.
56-year-old William Delaney went missing in Portlaoise on January 31st. He had been living in the Fieldbrook estate in the town at the time of his disappearance.
Gardaí and the Defence Forces will resume searches for him in the Dunamaise area of Portlaoise today.
Yesterday afternoon, they arrested two people on suspicion of murder, as part of the missing-person investigation.
A man in his thirties and a teenage girl are currently being detained in Portlaoise and Tullamore Garda stations.
