Eddie Vedder is busy travelling on his international solo tour to venues in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, and many more.
The singer just performed Dusseldorf’s Mitsubishi Electric Halle on June 30th with a huge set, finished the show with a cover of “Seasons” by Chris Cornell.
According to SPIN, this 1992 track was released by Cornell as part of Cameron Crowe’s film Singles. The Pearl Jam frontman performed the song in honour of his late friend and former collaborator.
This was just one of latest tributes that Vedder has made in memory of his pal, he recently played the Global Citizen, Mandela 100 festival in Johannesburg, where he performed a special version of Pearl Jam’s “Long Road.” in Cornell’s honour.
In 2017, just after the death of Cornell, Vedder spoke emotively about his loss at a solo show in London. In a letter to Cornell on what would have been his 53rd birthday, Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard wrote, “all of us are heartsick and we will never get over losing you.”
Previously, Vedder dedicated a 2012 concert performance of “Daughter” to Lily. In a recent Instagram post, Lily referred to Vedder and his family as her “family forever.”
