Fleetwood Mac treated crowds to a live rendition of their 1969 single, “Man Of The World”. The band played the non-album single for the first time in five decades at a concert on August 11th.
That was at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia and video of the rendition has been shared via Hennemusic.
The track was penned by Fleetwood Mac co-founder Peter Green and it bagged a No. 2 hit in the UK charts. It also made the charts in Australia.
According to Rolling Stone, Neil Finn told the crowd,
“We’re going to debut this song now which was one of [Green’s] great songs,”. “It’s an honor and a privilege for me to play it for you.”
During the two night stint in Perth, the legendary band played another rarity with “Blue Letter” from 1975 into the setlist.
That tune is lifted from their eponymous “Fleetwood Mac” album, which the band hadn’t played since the Behind The Mask tour in 1990.
