Last Tuesday youTube announced that Guns N’ Roses had reached a momentous target for over 1 billion views for the music video of “Sweet Child Of Mine.”
According to Antimusic, the song was a track on their debut album “Appetite For Destruction” which was released as a single.
It quickly reached scaled to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart when it was released on September 10th, 1998.
That was the only time they reached No. 1 on that particular chart in the band’s history. Guns N’ Roses remembered their achievement by tweeting “#GNR fam made this moment. #SweetChildOMine has hit over 1 billion views on @youtubemusic”. See YouTube’s tweet below!
