Rod Stewart blew our minds in recent weeks. That’s when the singer revealed that he’s spent almost 26-years building a massive, 124-ft-long model of a city for his train set!

Much to our delight, Rod has managed to pry himself away from his mega Hornby collection to woo fans on his latest tour.

The Maggie May singer will roll into Dublin on Weds 4th and on Thurs 5th December 2019 to play the 3 Arena and support is from Johnny Mac and the Faithful.

These shows are In support of the release of Rod’s 30th studio album, ‘Blood Red Roses’.

This is Rod’s first return to Ireland in three years following the success of his two previous sold-out tours in 2016 – ‘The Hits’ Stadium Tour and the arena tour ‘From Gasoline Alley to Another Country: Hits’.

With over 200million record sales worldwide, and as one of history’s best selling recording artists, Rod will be playing a mixture of his hits, both new and the classics

Rod’s been building his train set on and off for the past 23 years.  It’s called ‘Grand Street & Three Rivers City’ it is based on an archetypal American city from the 40s.

It spans an entire floor of his Beverly Hills home in California. He says, “I would say 90% of it I built myself, the only thing I wasn’t very good at and still am not is the electricals, so I had someone else do that.”

It is based on the cities of Chicago and New York City and was inspired by Sir Rod’s love of American railroads.
