Man Taken To Hospital After Stabbing At South Dublin Luas Stop

A man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed near a south Dublin Luas stop. The assault occurred near the Goldenbridge Luas stop on Monday evening.

A witness claims that the 26-year-old victim was “stabbed four to five times” as his girlfriend was waiting upon him at the stop.

According to Dublin Live, the man was rushed to St James’s Hospital and his injuries are reportedly not understood to be life-threatening.

A garda spokesman said that they “responded to an assault that occurred on 9th March 2020 near the Goldenbridge Luas stop in Drimnagh, Co Dublin at approximately 7.45pm.

“A 26 year-old man received several stab wounds during the incident. The man was later taken to St.James’s Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
