The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) is to meet this Thursday to discuss which parts of the lockdown can be brought forward to a significantly expanded Phase Three on June 29th.
The plans have already been fast tracked to 4 phases rather than 5.
The CMO Dr Tony Holohan has said he is encouraged by our progress however a lot can change between now and the end of the July.
Yesterday there were no new deaths from COVID-19.
This marks only the second time since March 21 that no new deaths have been reported.
The first day was May 25.
