Bob Dylan will receive France’s highest honour – despite reservations over his drug use and anti-war past.
The music legend will now be awarded the Legion d’Honneur next month; after it had been blocked last month by the Grand Chancellor.
He said Dylan’s cannabis use and anti-war politics should prevent him from being given the accolade – but that decision has now been reversed by France’s culture minister.
Bob Dylan will be following in the footsteps of former Beatle Paul McCartney, who received the award last September.
