The second episode of AC/DC’s microseries, The Story Of Back In Black has been released.
This time, the band discusses the riffage and lyrics behind the rock classic, Hell’s Bells, as well as the massive bell prop that accompanied them on their tours. Take a look!
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of their 1980 Back In Black album, AC/DC has also just posted a vintage video of the band performing the album's "You Shook Me All Night Long" on YouTube. The clip was shot on February 4th, 1981 at Tokyo, Japan's Nihon Seinenkan.
Blabbermouth reported that back in December, the RIAA verified the album 25 times platinum. Back In Black, which was released on July 25th, 1980, marked the band's first following the death of frontman Bon Scott, with Geordie lead singer Brian Johnson replacing him.
Back In Black made AC/DC into superstars in the U.S. and around the world, although it never got higher than Number Four on the album charts.
The band's next album, 1981's For Those About To Rock. . . We Salute You, reached Number One.
Many of the songs from Back In Black became staples both on rock radio and in the band's set list, including "Hell's Bells," "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Shoot To Thrill" and the title track.
