All pubs could be reopening in two weeks’ time.

Irish pubs have experienced the longest lockdown in Europe having been closed since March.

The reopening will be subject to strict regulations on social distancing and hygiene.

The Cabinet is expected to agree to the reopening date at a meeting today (Tuesday 8th September).

According to the Irish Times, the government is likely to announce September 21st as the date.

It comes after draft guidelines for pubs that do not serve food were circulated at the weekend.
