Former Bond girl and That 70’s show star Tanya Roberts is fighting for her life and is not dead as had been reported.
Her publicist Mike Pingel was quoted in the American media saying that she had passed away but later revealed she wasn’t dead and blamed it on “miscommunication” with Roberts’ partner, Lance O’Brien.
Pingel said O’Brien told him that he held his wife and she “seemed for him to slip away.”
O’Brien is not able to visit Roberts regularly due to Covid restrictions but was allowed to see her on Sunday evening for a last goodbye and that is when the miscommunication is said to have taken place. Pingel also said that Roberts does not have coronavirus.
Roberts had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles due to a bad fall she suffered at home.
Many outlets including Radio Nova, RTÉ, Associated Press and many more reported the news of her death yesterday.
Tanya Roberts came to prominence when she played geologist Stacy Sutton in the James Bond film, ‘A View To Kill’. She also appeared in the Charlie Angels TV series which was the break her career needed.
Younger generations would know her as ‘Midge’, the mother of Donna from ‘That ’70s Show’.
It is fair to say that there has been mass confusion on the status of Tanya Roberts but everyone involved will be glad to hear that she is still alive. ‘That ’70s Show star Topher Grace who played Eric Foreman in the show expressed his sympathies to the news of her passing on Twitter.

However, co-star Ashton Kutcher replied “yo bro she’s not dead” which lead the two actors exchanging gifs celebrating the fact the she is still alive. You can check out the exchange in the tweet posted above.
It is interesting to note that Kutcher did not respond or correct fellow ‘That ’70s Show’ actor Danny Masterson’s tribute tweet as Masterson was arrested in June 2020 in relation to three counts of rape. Masterson has denied all charges.
