Gardaí have charged a man in his 20's in relation to an alleged assault incident that took place in Coolock on Wednesday.
Shortly after 11pm on Wednesday Gardaí were alerted when a woman in her 20's reported being assaulted by a lone male while out running on Adare Road, Coolock.
Following an investigation the man was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Coolock Station.
The man has since been charged and is expected to appear before Dublin District Court (Criminal Courts of Justice No 4.) today 11th February.
