A new mural of the prominent teen climate activist Greta Thunberg has been defaced within 24 hours of its unveiling on a wall in Dublin.
A striking image of of the 18-year-old from Sweden was lovingly undertaken and completed on the side of a building on Chancery Street by artist Emma Blake.
The image of a fiesty Thunberg is replendent with a speech bubble and the wording “The world is waking up and change is coming” written inside it.
Shockingly today someone took to the mural and daubed the words “Slut X George Soros Slut” across the image in crude grafitti.
Dublin City councillor Ciarán Cuffe this afternoon tweeted a photo of the mural after it had been vandalised.
Soros, a billionaire who made his fortune in hedge funds, has donated heavily to liberal causes through the years.
