Iron Maiden Guitarist Adrian Smith Tells Fans To ‘Expect Some Surprises’ When They Hit The Road Again

Iron maiden fans have been alerted to the beacon of Adrian Smith, who said “expect some surprises” when the band returns. During an interview with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation, Smith said “that’s all I can say, really… But I think the fans are gonna be delighted”.

The band are currently booked to do a host of arena and stadium shows across Europe, subject to on-going restrictions. Adding to that is Iron Maiden’s headline show for Download 2022, which will give the East London band a busy June and July.

Smith’s comments undoubtedly have Iron Maiden fans wondering what further forthcoming activity the band could spring on them. The guitarist promised host, Eddie Trunk that whatever the news might be, it will be “worth the wait”.

Nights Of The Dead, Legacy Of The Beast: Live In Mexico City highlights three sold-out arena shows in 2019 and celebrates of their Legacy Of The Beast 2018 world tour. The album available in multiple formats and contains over 100 minutes of classic Iron Maiden tracks. The album also comes in a limited-edition Mexican Flag, triple-coloured vinyl and a limited-edition deluxe two-CD book format.

Iron Maiden’s last album came in 2015 with the release of the critically acclaimed, The Book Of Souls LP. The album was produced in Paris by long-time producer, Kevin “Caveman” Shirley in 2014. Clocking in at 92 minutes, TBOS was their longest album, with lyrics heavily based in the themes of death, reincarnation, the soul and mortality.

Fans are already on their seats waiting to see if Iron Maiden will finally be voted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2021. Many will feel the heavy metal band is worthy to have its name etched into the history of rock, with Alice Cooper and Paul Stanley going on record in recent weeks.

This year’s inductees will be announced in May.
