Alice Cooper recently recalled Jimi Hendrix supplying him with his first ever joint! He also told Cooper that a vibrating bed was a spaceship! You can check out that interview in full here.
Speaking on the SDR Show, Cooper recalls his first and worst experiences of drugs. These experiences came years before the rocker cleaned up his act.
On the Hendrix band Cooper said, “I’m sitting there after the show. I went to see them”.
Adding, “We were just a little high school band, but they said, ‘Hey, come on up to the hotel room.’ And we were sitting on his bed, and Jimi goes, ‘Here, man’ (with a joint), and I went, ‘Okay”.
“We’re on a spaceship” – Hendrix said to Cooper
During his first experience with the drug, Cooper said “Hendrix goes and puts a quarter in the bed you know, the vibrating bed. There was like eight people sitting on the bed. And he goes, ‘We’re on a spaceship!’ And I went, ‘Okay”.
Cooper also spoke about the negative things that he experienced from drug taking.
“It was Detroit, and I think it was crystal THC”, he explained.
He continued, “It was like four in the morning. I kind of regained consciousness. I got up. I remember it was about 20 degrees below outside, and I walked outside just in my shirt on, just to wake up”.
“And when I came back in, everybody was just kind of coming up. It was weird; it was like a (Federico) Fellini thing. It was so strange that I really did believe that everybody was dead and that I was the only one that survived it”.
Last month, Alice Cooper also said that he would love to sing for the Foo Fighters if his own band ever broke up. More on that from Nova here.
The rock legend is also another star to have received the Covid-19 vaccine along with his wife Sheryl. He also detailed his own battle with the virus. More here.
