British pop-giants Madness announced a return to the road with their “Ladykillers” Tour of Ireland and the UK. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 21 May at 9-30am from gigsandtours.com.
The band will kick off the tour in Dublin’s 3 Arena and will conclude with a gig at London’s O2 on December 18.
For this tour, Madness will also be supported by Squeeze. Squeeze made their debut recording album in 1977, enjoying a string of hits. They also established themselves as an integral part of quintessential British music.

Madness:
Madness’ Livestreamed show called “The Get Up” also premiered over the weekend. The show combines music with storytelling and was streamed from London’s Palladium. It was also scripted by Charlie Higson.
The show featured classic Madness hits including “Our House”, “Baggy Trousers” and “One Step Beyond”.
The band also premiered new songs, “If I Go Mad”, “Cruelest Comedy” and “Baby Burglar”. This also gave fans an opportunity to access future classics from the band.
Madness also recently released a new documentary of their somewhat blotted past. The documentary was called “Before We Was We”, and explores the rise of the Camden ska icons. They formed in 1976, and went on to have 15 top 10 UK hits to their name.
Before We Was We also explored the different lives that the band members could have had. Living a life of crime before they found each other, several of the band members were arrested for multiple misdemeanours in their youth.
Their frontman Graham McPherson aka Suggs was arrested multiple times during his teens for affray. At the time he described being in a band as “like an extension of being in a gang”. More on that here.
Speaking on the recently streamed show “The Get Up” in a separate interview, Suggs also said that they wanted to “extentuate the fact that there is no audience and why this empty space currently exists”.
Suggs also added that this show is a “historical chronology of the band including some jokes and sketches as well as the music”.
