Coldplay will perform four songs in a special live streamed performance, exclusively to TikTok.
The band will play a live set, supporting Red Nose Day US. Red Nose is the US’s annual campaign to end child poverty.
Coldplay’s live gig will stream from London on TikTok, Monday May 24 at 7pm BST (2pm ET/11am PT).
“This incredible experience” of Coldplay live
This is not the first time that Coldplay have featured in a US Red Nose campaign. Red Nose US started in 2015, which also saw Coldplay create Game of Thrones: The Musical, a 12 minute comedy sketch with the cast of the series. This hit more than 30 million views online.
Since Red Nose US started in 2015, it has raised over $240,000.
“Red Nose Day do amazing things around the world to keep children safe, healthy, educated and empowered”, said Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin. “We’re really happy to be able to support their work with this performance”.
The CEO for Comic Relief US, Alison Moore said that she was thrilled to be able to give fans “this incredible experience” of Coldplay performing live.
“I’m so excited to have Coldplay on board to support Red Nose Day 2021 and give fans all over the world this incredible experience”, she said. “This is a huge opportunity for Red Nose Day to raise much-needed funds to end child poverty, and to break new ground with our first-ever TikTok fundraiser”.

“Higher Power is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the start of 2020. It was produced by Max Martin who is a true wonder of the universe. It’s out on Friday 7 May. Love c, g, w & j”, the band wrote on the release of this track.
Chris Martin and co also performed the track live on American Idol last week. The band performed “Higher Power”, while surrounded by a dazzling light. Check out Nova’s report on that here.
