Foo Fighters are confirmed as the first band to play at Madison Square Garden since March 2020.

Dave Grohl and co will play in front of a fully vaccinated crowd on June 20. This will be the first full capacity gig to take place at the iconic venue for a staggering 450 days.

“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year”, the band wrote on Twitter. “And @TheGarden’s going to feel that HARD. New York, get ready for a long-ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos”.

After the pandemic also put pay to Foos 25th anniversary celebrations last year, the band confirmed dates for an upcoming US Tour. They are to hit places like Oklahoma, New Mexico and Midwest.

The band were to revisit some places where they performed during their first US Tour in 1995. Those dates were postponed from last August.

Last week the band tweeted this.

Foo Fighters are to also headline this year’s BottleRock Festival in California. The band are to headline alongside Stevie Nicks  and Guns N’Roses.

This festival will run from September 3-5th.

Last month, Foo Fighters teamed up with AC/DC’s Brian Johnson for a live cover of “Back In Black”.

They covered the track at Global Citizen’s Vax Live event. This took place at the So-Fi Stadium which saw 27,000 vaccinated people attend this non-socially distant event.

The event was hosted by Selena Gomez. It was put together to to “help end COVID-19 for all, end the hunger crisis, resume learning everywhere, protect the planet, and advance equity for all”. More on that report here.

“The Hawk”

If that is not enough for fans, Foo Fighters have now designed Brompton Bikes for Crew Nation’s Covid-19 charity.

Foos duo Nate Mendel and Taylor Hawkins designed their own bikes for the charity.

Hawkins’ design is inspired by his nickname “The Hawk”. The drummer also put Hawkins silhouettes along the bike frame.

On the other hand, Mendel’s design was inspired by Foo Fighter’s latest album “Medicine At Midnight”. The design also highlights the band’s logo.
