Now in its 15th year, Taste of Dublin will return in 2021 showcasing the best of Irish food and for the first time there will also be flavour of Irish culture and arts content too.
While Taste of Dublin will operate at a reduced capacity, in line with government guidelines, additional sessions have been added and the event will now run over five days instead of the usual three at Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens from Wednesday, September 1st to Sunday, September 5th.
The city’s biggest food festival features world-class chefs, crafty cocktails, interactive workshops plus the chance to try delectable dishes from Dublin’s best restaurants. And as we do every year, we’ve summed up the 10 best things you can do at Taste of Dublin in 2021.

The Salty Buoy, a very practical mobile kitchen retrofitted into a suitably quirky Citroën H van, will offer up a varied menu of Sabongi’s signature dishes. These include lobster rolls, crab, fresh fried fish with daily specials, depending on the freshest catch and the weather – creamy chowder, zingy pokē bowls, chargrilled smoky prawns, classic fish and chips, fresh Dublin bay prawns etc.

Join chefs, food writers and producers as they discuss everything from Hidden Ireland – inspiring talks revealing the country’s hidden food spots, Cookbook Corner – your favourite chef speaking about their go to books, the evolution of street food and much more!

Baker Graham Herterich (and his partner Daithi!), better known as The Cupcake Bloke, is back giving Taste-goers the chance to enjoy a selection of his tasty baked goods, just like the ones on offer in his store at 461 South Circular Rd, Dublin 8.
Hot Chip Dublin is the brain child of Master Cookie Monster Dave. Having sampled every cookie south of the equator and experienced the cookie revolution in full flow, Hot Chip Dublin will be selling individual baked cookies and cookie dough for home baking. They will also be showcasing different cookie flavours and experimenting with some fun new creations which they are excited to share with Taste attendees.

Bites by Kwanghi – the food truck by TV Chef Kwanghi Chan will be providing the very best Asian street food at Taste. Having enjoyed the delicious Soft Shell Crab Bao and Spice Bag Chicken Wings at his Marlborough Street Dublin 1 pop up location recetnyl I cant wait to see what he does in Iveagh Gardens!

Taste of Dublin is not just serious about its food, but also music and entertainment. Taste is delighted to be partnering with Culture Vultures, The Laughter Lounge, and The Gaiety School of Acting to bring performances, comedy, and theatre shows to the festival. Grab a drink, some food, and relax in the stunning Iveagh Gardens for these 30-minute bite-sized morsels of entertainment.

The Just Eat delivery app is all about making life easier, delivering food whenever and wherever in a couple of taps on the app. So, in true Just Eat style, the ever-popular Just Eat Waiter Service returns to Taste of Dublin taking orders for food and drinks and delivering it back to festival attendees as they relax and enjoy the delights of Taste.

Always central to Taste are the culinary talent who take to the Taste Theatre stage , and this year is no exception. Over 25 of Ireland’s top Chefs, including Michelin starred additions, have been added to the line-up for 2021. Jordan Bailey of two-starred Aimsir, JP McMahon of Aniar, Galway and Jess Murphy of Kai, Galway join Taste stalwarts Rachel Allen, Kevin Dundon, Aoife Noonan and many more. Other additions include Instagram favourite cookalong hosts Eric Matthews and Trisha Lewis as well as Euro-Toques Gareth Mullins and Gráinne Mullins.
So if you are heading to Taste keep in mind that organisers will adapt the event to run in accordance with any restrictions in place at that time while still maintaining the much-loved Taste format.
