Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has said that he wants his late daughter to be remembered for “her talent", ahead of the tenth anniversary of the singer's death.
Amy Winehouse died on 23 July 2011 at the age of 27 at her home in Camden due to alcohol poisoning. Following her death, Amy's family set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
They also set up Amy's Place, an East London shelter catering for up to 16 women for maintaining their recovery after rehab.
Her father Mitch told the Sun that he wants her daughter to be remembered for her musical talents and "not just her troubles with addiction".
He also said that he always tries to make people remember Amy for "her talent, her generosity and the love she showed us all”.
Mitch also said that his daughter's estate is managed by her family.
“Amy’s mum Janis and I manage her estate", he said. "Yes of course her music still makes a lot of money, what she did has set her whole family up".
However, Mitch insisted that he would "give every penny back" if it meant that Amy would still be alive today.
“The thing is, though, and I can’t say this clearly enough, I would give back every penny just to have my daughter back", he insisted.
“Ten years after her death, she is still looking after her loved ones, her family and many of her friends have been supported by her — and that’s typical of her.", he added.
"She was generous in life and in many ways she still is now".

Elsewhere, Amy's marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil was defended by her mother. She claimed that "love was at the heart" of the relationship.
