Former Oasis drummer, Tony McCarroll has revealed that he was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack.
McCarroll who played with the band from 1991 to 1995, revealed the news via Twitter.
“Hi All. Wanted to let you know I was admitted to hospital on Thursday after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday night”, he wrote.
He also added, “I’m not quite out of the woods as yet but just want to give a massive big up to our NHS We are more than fortunate to have such a service! Thank you!! X”.

Originally known as “The Rain”, the original Oasis line up saw McCarroll on drums, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs on guitar, while Liam Gallagher fronted the band. His brother Noel of course joined and became guitarist, vocalist and lead songwriter. The rest is Rock ‘n’ Roll history!
Oasis at Knebworth
Back in 2018, Liam Gallagher claimed that he tried to reunite the original line up.
“If the old crew from Oasis first line-up wanted to reform with just you, would you?”, he tweeted at the time. “I did ask them and they weren’t up for it”.
The singer dedicated to Watts during a live performance of Live Forever, where he told the crowd, “He’s probably having a great time up there somewhere”.
Gallagher also said that he is currently working on two new albums.
“I’ve kind of got two albums on the go”, Gallagher said in an interview. “I’ve got like one that’s a bit mad and one that’s a bit more like kind of whatever normal is, a bit more classic. So, we’re just going to wait and see which one we should put out, you know what I mean?”.
Meanwhile, a trailer for the upcoming concert film for “Oasis At Knebworth” was released a few weeks ago.
It will explore the band’s record breaking performances at the venue over two nights in August 1996. The film is to hit the screens on September 23. The gigs were watched by over a million fans globally.
It will also see estranged brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher act as executive producers. More on this here.
