Phil Collins has confirmed that Genesis’ upcoming 2021 reunion tour will be their last.
This long awaited tour will begin in Birmingham tonight (September 20).
Having already been postponed on several occasions, Genesis’ “The Last Domino?” tour was pushed back to September 2021 due to the pandemic. Collins had already hinted that this tour would not go beyond 2021.
This tour will see Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks getting together on stage for the first time since 2017, with Phil’s son Nick on drums, with Daryl Stuemer on guitars and bass.
Collins rules out any further shows for Genesis
Ahead of the shows taking place tonight, Phil Collins has ruled out any further tours from Genesis, stating that these will be the band’s final shows ever.
“This English and American tour, that will be enough for me”, Collins had said.
After Birmingham, Genesis will tour around the UK, before finishing up in with three gigs in London’s O2 in mid-October.

On top of this, Phil Collins also spoke recently about his ongoing health battles. He recently confirmed that he will probably never be able to play the drums again due to his health.
“I’m kind of physically challenged a bit which is very frustrating because I’d love to be playing up there with my son”, he said.
