Liam Gallagher has revealed his injuries after falling from a helicopter following his Isle of Wight performance.
Gallagher headlined the opening day of this year’s Isle of Wight festival, which returned over the weekend after being cancelled by the pandemic last year.
While leaving the island, Gallagher apparently fell from his helicopter. Details of the accident are unclear, but it seems the former Oasis frontman hasn’t suffered any serious injuries.
Gallagher took a photo of his face after the accident, which shows a plaster over his nose, and posted it to his Twitter feed.
“So check this out I fell out the helicopter last night you couldn’t [write] it,” Gallagher joked. “Who said [Rock n Roll] is dead. Keith Moon eat your drum skin out. C’mon you know.”

Gallagher was referencing a famous incident in which The Who drummer Moon crashed his helicopter on the grounds of actor Oliver Reed’s estate. After a fiery confrontation the two hellraisers became instant friends.
The singer followed up his post with a picture of a bottle of Estrella with the caption “What doesn’t kill ya makes ya. TUFF GOING.”

He then reposted the picture of his injuries and joked that he might use it for his next album cover.

Recently Liam claimed to have two new albums in the works. At last month’s Reading festival, the singer had professional photos taken with audience members, leading to fans theorizing that they could be used to illustrate an upcoming album.
Gallagher later sent a message of thanks to his Isle of Wight audience.

Along with his solo hits like Wall of Glass and Shockwave, Gallagher played a host of Oasis classics including Rock N Roll Star, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Supersonic, Acquiesce, Roll With It and Live Forever.
A new film, Oasis Knebworth 1996, opens in cinemas on September 23rd. The documentary takes us back to the legendary live performance of its title.
The film’s director Jake Scott was asked if he thinks the Noel and Liam will ever reunite, having been estranged since a 2009 bust-up.
“Yeah. I’d love to think so,” Scott replied. “It’d be lovely. Oh God it’d be great wouldn’t it? There’s so much studio manipulation in music now. Just a solid rock n roll band would be an amazing thing to see again.“
