A Fine Gael TD has alleged that a group of unruly 'lads' were bellowing sexually aggressive chants after female passengers left a DART train on his Wednesday evening commute.
Alan Farrell was compelled to tweet his dismay and anger after he recounted imbecilic chanting ‘Let’s rape her’ at the women in question.
Writing on Twitter, the Dublin Fingal TD added that he was criticised by some other passengers for trying to confirm what he had heard with them.

Deputy Farrell said the young men were definitely locals and that while some admitted to their guilt when he confronted them at Malahide DART station, others criticised him for his political beliefs.
Barry Kenny of Irish Rail told the Journal that the company was aware of the incident and was investigating.
“We contacted Deputy Farrell earlier this morning to get further information, so we can review CCTV and liaise with Gardaí on this appalling incident of verbal abuse and intimidation. Deputy Farrell has been in contact to provide us with this.
