Neil Young will tentatively issue his latest vault release on September 6th, called Live At The Cellar Door 1970, as part of his ongoing “Performance Archive Series.”
The acoustic collection is culled from Young’s six shows recorded at the Washington, D.C. venue on November 30th, December 1st and 2nd, 1970 – with an early and late show each day.
Thrasherswheat.org reported that back in 2009 Young told Guitar World magazine about his plans to release the show: “Around 1970 I played a show at the Cellar Door club in Washington, D.C. That show was taped, but we don’t have enough great takes to release it as its own disc.”
