Stars of Disney’s Frozen, including Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, along with the movie’s song composer Kristen Anderson-Lopez have all posted supportive messages for a young girl who sang the film’s track while sheltering in a Ukraine basement.
The young child’s name is Amelia. In a video posted to social media, Amelia can be heard singing the song, as her family cheered her on.

“We see you”
Idina Menzel starred as Elsa in Frozen. Alongside blue and yellow love hearts, in support of Ukraine, Menzel tweeted the following.
“We see you. We really see you”, she wrote.

“My heart is overwhelmed. These poor children. These poor people. I want to hug and protect this and every other child in danger right now and I feel helpless”, tweeted Josh Gad who played Olaf in the movie.
In a message which was addressed to a “little girl with a beautiful voice”, the composer of the Frozen track ‘Let It Go’, Kristen Anderson-Lopez wrote the following message.
“My husband and I wrote this song as part of a story about healing a family in pain. The way you sing it is like a magic trick that spreads the light in your heart and heals everyone who hears it. Keep singing! We are listening!”.Â

“mindblowing”
Several other household names have reacted to this video, including Imelda May, Mark Hamill and Holly Willoughby who appeared visibly emotional while introducing the video on ITV’s This Morning.
Using the hastag #HopeForUkraine, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill wrote, “In the eyes of a child you will see the world as it should be”. Â
Replying to the video, singer Imelda May added, “Thank you Amelia. I invite you to sing with me onstage if you like as soon as you are able. X”.Â

Meanwhile, Ukranian MP Lesia Vasylenko paid tribute to the children in the shelters, hailing their courage as “mindblowing”.
“The courage of the children in shelters is mindblowing”.Â
The song itself, Let It Go also won best original score at the Oscars in 2014.
