PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe of Radio Nova’s ‘Morning Glory’ have announced a burgerlicious collaboration with Morning Glory Café.
September 2nd will see the Radio Nova breakfast duo deep-fry a limited edition ‘PJ-ayus Jim’ live on air in the new Dublin 1 café. The never-before attempted foodie feat will see them completely batter, deep-fry, stack and serve a full breakfast burger, including bun, bacon, sausage patty in all its greasy glory!
These delicious breakfast treats will then be available to order for one day only on Friday September 2nd at Morning Glory café’s central location on George’s Dock, the perfect one-stop-shop for a commuter’s breakfast, only a two minutes’ walk from Connolly Station and the George’s Dock LUAS stop!
After discovering that a café nearby shared the same name as their popular breakfast show, PJ and Jim with their Producer Clint Drieberg went to investigate and found not only a great café, but the opportunity to create a mouth-watering breakfast burger too. As part of their Radio Nova #FRYDay segment, PJ will fulfil his lifelong dream to deep-fry a full burger (and all its accompaniments) on air with the help of Chef Kenny at Morning Glory Café.
PJ Gallagher said, “In all my years working in radio, this must be the most exciting and tastiest opportunity yet. It’s always been a dream of mine to deep-fry a burger live on air, and what better burger to fry than one named after my co-host, Jim.” With Jim McCabe adding, “It’s one thing having a burger named after you, but to have a breakfast burger, the absolute best kind of burger, and one as delicious as Morning Glory’s named after you is truly an honor.”
PJ and Jim will be bringing their show live to their listeners this Friday from 6 – 10am from Morning Glory Café and may even be the ones serving you if you pop in to try out what promises to be the tastiest breakfast burger ever!
Chef Kenny of Morning Glory Café describes the creation of the ‘PJ-ayus Jim’ burger: “It’s all the elements of your classic breakfast burger - Bap, Bacon, Sausage patty all covered in batter deep fried, stacked and served in all its greasy glory! Here at Morning Glory Café we’re all fans of Nova and PJ and Jim so when the boys popped in for a coffee and suggested collaborating we jumped at the opportunity.”
Located just a stone’s throw from both Connolly station and the CHQ - Morning Glory is the Ruby’s group first breakfast offering to hit Dublin. Priding itself on a mix of healthy options and hearty breakfast feasts there is something for everyone to start their day off right. "Morning Glory” is also Dublin's first coffee Subscription café where you can get unlimited coffee for a set fee every month.
