Releasing a fresh statement, the family of the much loved Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor, have thanks fans for their “outpouring of love”.
O’Connor passed away last month aged 56, after being found unresponsive at her home in London by police, with a coroner later ruling “no medical cause” for her death.
The singer was laid to rest in Bray where she lived for 15 years.

In their statement, Sinéad O’Connor’s family thanked fans for showing their support following her passing.
“The children of Sinéad together with Sinéad’s extended family wish to thank the countless kind people who sympathised and offered condolences on Sinéad’s recent passing. Their helpful support for the family is much appreciated”, they said.
They continued, “Our thanks to the media personnel in general at home and abroad who celebrated Sinéad in song and story while showing respect for the privacy requested by the family. We ask that this privacy continue to be respected”.
“Finally, we wish to thank Sinéad’s fans and admirers for the wonderful funeral procession they gave her past her old home in Bray and for the national and international outpouring of love and affection for Sinéad from the time of her passing. The prayers and thanks of the extended O’Connor family are with you all”.
Sinéad O’Connor’s death led to an outpouring of grief, with many household names continuing to pay tributes to her, including Noel Gallagher, who dedicated a live cover ‘Live Forever’ to O’Connor, following his recent show at Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Earlier this month, it had emerged that the singer was in talks over a biopic before her death, according to sources.
“Sinead was keen to explore making her memoir into her film and she had a raft of ideas about how it would look on screen”, a source said.
“She had a huge amount of respect for Demi and thought Niamh was a real rising star after she saw her in her TV series The Virtues. Sinead, too, thought Saoirse was fierce and loved her from her film Brooklyn in 2015 when she played an Irish migrant”.
