A possible Talking Heads Reunion could be on the cards, according to drummer Chris Frantz.
Rumours of a reunion had been spreading after the Talking Heads line up including Franz, Tina Weymouth (bassist), Jerry Harrison (guitarist), alongside frontman David Byrne reunited for a Q&A, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band’s concert film ‘Stop Making Sense’ from 1984, earlier this month.
This Q&A took place at the Toronto Film Festival on September 11.
Bassist Tina Weymouth had previously said that the band were simply “savouring the moment” for the time being amid reunion rumours.
“We’re just savouring the moment. We’re so happy that it’s resulted in this wonderful thing that’s lasted 40 years. And we’re not really looking too far into the future”, Tina Weymouth said.
“We might be standing on the corner and a bus will knock us down. We’re super glad we’re alive. We’re all four here to enjoy the moment”.
“a picture is worth a billion words”
Since then, Talking Heads bassist Chris Frantz shared a photo of himself with David Byrne via Facebook, which could potentially hint that a reunion is on the horizon.
Alongside the photo, Frantz added the caption, “a picture is worth a billion words”.
