They play Dublin in March next year, now Fall Out Boy are streaming their Ryan Adams-produced, hardcore-influenced record ‘Pax Am Days’ ahead of its release next week – click below to listen to the VEVO playlist.

The eight track punk rock album will be available as a standalone digital release and as part of a limited edition re-issue of their 2013 LP ‘Save Rock and Roll’, from October 14.

The record was recorded at Adams’ Pax Am studio in Hollywood over the course of two days in July.

Speaking to Noisey, guitarist Joe Trohman said of the mini-album: People would have expected a bunch of remixes after the album. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but this is not what people expected us to do, and that’s exciting and fun, to flip people on their head, so to speak.

Also, one aspect of this that is a continuation of ‘Save Rock And Roll’ was that it was an exercise in not doing as many layers of things. This is even a further distillation of that. It’s like a Black Flag record where it’s like, there’s very few tracks and everything that’s there is what’s there.”

Fall Out Boy play the Olympia in March of 2014. The gig sold out in less than an hour!
