Oasis look set to secure their ninth UK Number One album, despite splitting up 14 years ago!
The band who broke up in 2009, look set to bag another UK Number One album, thanks to the special 25th anniversary reissue of their B-sides record, ‘The Masterplan’.
It would also mark a first UK Number One album for the band, since their 2010 compilation, ‘Time Flies… (1994-2009)’.
‘The Masterplan’ was released as a compilation LP of B-sides, and originally featured on tracks from the first three Oasis studio albums, including ‘Definitely Maybe’ (1994), ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ (1995), and ‘Be Here Now’ (1997).
This collection arrived last week (November 3), and also features the incredible title track, which Noel Gallagher even described as one of the best songs that he has ever written.

Liam Gallagher Will ‘Definitely Maybe’ Tour
Last month, former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher confirmed dates for a special tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ album.
Gallagher is to perform at several venues, including his native Manchester, along with, Sheffield, London, Cardiff, Glasgow and an Irish date in Dublin.
Announcing this news, Gallagher had this to say.
“I’m bouncing around the house to announce the ‘Definitely Maybe’ Tour”, the singer revealed. “The most important album of the ‘90s bar none. I wouldn’t be anywhere without it and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together LG x”.
A press release has also promised other “fan favourites that could be performed from the other songs that were released during the ‘Definitely Maybe’ era”, potentially including ‘Whatever’, ‘Fade Away’, ‘Listen Up’ and ‘Sad Song’.
Reports have also suggested that former Oasis bandmember Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs is to also join Gallagher on stage. Find out more on this story from Nova here.
