Back To Black star Jack O’Connell is to direct a new music video for Paul Weller.
O’Connell who is currently starring in the Sam Taylor-Johnson directed biopic of late singer Amy Winehouse, Back To Black, will make his debut from behind the camera for a song called Nothing.
British actor O’Connell had previously appeared in the music video for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ song Blue Moon Rising.

In a new interview, Jack O’Connell revealed that he is a friend of Paul Weller’s, and the pair have a “bunch of new music coming out”.
“It was a good stroke of fortune,” O’Connell told Variety. “Paul’s been a mate for a while and he’s got a bunch of new music coming out. He asked me to be in [a video] and I said, ‘Can I direct it instead?’ He obliged. And now we’ve edited it and cut it together”.
The track will feature on Weller’s upcoming album 66, which arrives on May 24.
Back in February, Paul Weller also confirmed that Noel Gallagher, Bobby Gillespie and Suggs would also feature on this album.
In Back To Black named after Amy Winehouse’s Grammy Award winning album of 2006, Jack O’Connell plays the singer’s ex husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
