The cast of Pulp Fiction have reunited to mark 30 years since its original release in 1994.

Stars from the multiple Oscar nominated thriller including John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, Vincent Vega, Rosanna Arquette, Harvey Keitel, and Eric Stoltz returned to the red carpet, kicking off the TCM Classic Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood with a screening of the film.

Pulp Fiction received seven Oscar nominations, including Travolta for his role as Vincent Vega, Jackson for his role as Jules Winnfield, Uma Thurmen who played Mia Wallace, as well as director Quentin Tarantino.

“didn’t realise”

Speaking about Pulp Fiction, Samuel L Jackson said that he “didn’t realise” that the film was a cultural phenomenon until the first screening.

“We were doing a film that was a lot of fun for us and a great script to do and big characters to be”, Jackson explained.

“we cared for each other”

One noticeable absentee was co star Bruce Willis, who played Butch Coolidge in the film. The actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia last February.

Travolta who was supported at the event by his 24 year old daughter Ella Bleu, said that he had a “history” starring alongside Willis, referring to the 1989 comedy, Look Who’s Talking.

“With Bruce it was like being at home, it was very comfortable, (he’s) just a good person. We cared for each other”, Tavolta said.

Rosanna Arquette who played Jody in the film also paid tribute to Bruce Willis, hailing him as “one of the great guys”.

Arquette said, “I also did with Matthew Perry and him, The Whole Nine Yards. He is just a wonderful, sweet, good, kind man, he is surrounded by so much love in his family right now, he’s just great”.

Eric Stoltz also paid homage to Bruce Willis, calling him a “great guy” who was “buying us pizza”.

“The first day of rehearsal, Quentin took us all out to a sushi restaurant and we sat and laughed and ate and drank for hours, and when we left we felt like a company”, Stoltz said. “We felt like we were all on the same boat”.
