Pearl Jam's Mike McCready fell off the stage at a recent show, but still continued to perform his guitar solo.
The band recently kicked off their World Tour last Saturday (May 8) at Vancouver's Rogers Arena, which saw them play material from their recently released 12th studio album, 'Dark Matter'.
Pearl Jam had initially announced their new album back in February, as well as a new tour which will include a date at Dublin's Marlay Park on June 22.
Speaking to fans at a recent listening party at the Troubadour Club in LA, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder had called this album "our best work".
He said, “I’m getting chills, because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work”.
However while on stage last Saturday, during their 17th song of a 25 live setlist, 'Porch', Pearl Jam's Mike McCready took a tumble in the middle of his guitar solo.
Despite being on the deck, McCready still managed to play his Gibson Les Paul guitar, while being picked up by a stage hand.
Footage of this fall was shared online, originally looking like he was going to walk to a lowered part of the stage. However, Mike McCready actually fell down, with only the neck of guitar briefly visible to the crowd at one point.
Despite falling, Mike McCready remained the consummate pro, as he did not miss one single note from his guitar solo before returning to his feet on stage, as the band finished off their eight song encore.
