Bruce Springsteen has postponed several shows due to ongoing “vocal issues”.
This was confirmed via a post from the singer’s Instagram account, after he was forced to cancel a date in Marseille over the weekend.
As you may know already, Springsteen has played several shows in Ireland including Kilkenny, Cork and Dublin recently.
These shows have seen him perform classic Pogues track, ‘A Rainy Night In Soho’ in tribute in the late Shane MacGowan.
Springsteen performed this cover at Kilkenny’s Nowlan Park as a sweet tribute to MacGowan who died last November aged 65. Check out this special performance for yourselves here.
Springsteen Forced To Cancel Shows
Taking to Instagram, a post confirmed that Springsteen has had to postpone several shows in the coming days due to ongoing “vocal issues”.
It has now been confirmed that Springsteen will resume his stadium tour with The E Street Band on June 12 in Madrid.
“Further examination and consulting has (sic) led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next 10 days”, a post read. “New dates for these shows will be announced shortly”.
“Those wishing a refund will be able to obtain it at their original point of purchase”, they continued. “Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan”.
