A special limited edition AC/DC watch has been launched to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.
These special edition watches have been launched by Swiss luxury watchmaker Franck Muller, producing 100 of them, with 50 in polished stainless steel, and 50 in black brushed titanium. Each timepiece will be available at $9,000 (£7,000).
AC/DC themselves are in the middle of their first tour of Europe in 8 years, which includes the line up of Angus Young and Brian Johnson, Stevie Young, alongside new additions Chris Chaney (bass), and drummer Matt Laug.

AC/DC have “Rockstar charisma”
As for the watches, their manufacturer Franck Muller has said that these AC/DC timepieces: “epitomize precision craftsmanship and Rockstar charisma” and are “housed in a sleek Vanguard 43 mm tonneau-shaped case with an automatic movement and a date window at 6 o’clock”.
Muller who boasts clients such as Elton John, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kanye West, David Beckham, and Floyd Mayweather Jr, also added: “The dial features Franck Muller’s signature numerals in red, a vibrant tribute to AC/DC’s legacy”.
“The centre dial is engraved like a vinyl, reminiscent of their debut album High Voltage from 1975, and a guitar strings-inspired imprint pays tribute to Angus Young (AC/DC). These timepieces serve as a direct link to the band’s iconic history”, he also wrote.
Muller also stated: “The centrepiece is the AC/DC Logo with the “50 Years” tagline, celebrating the band’s golden Anniversary in style. Elsewhere, the promotional blurb for these AC/DC watches also added this.
They also wrote: “Packaged in a Flight Case that evokes AC/DC’s iconic stage presence, these timepieces capture the essence of rock flair and symbolize the band’s legendary live performances and concert tours. The flight case comes in a drawstring bag”.
It also claimed that the watches “fuse horological innovation with rock legacy”.
